1Q20 : Week 3
Been away for over a year; work has been topsy turvy. I've done some fiddling here and there, but mostly been collecting and not modeling/painting
Here's an EC palatine I started work on.
I expect that I'll be focusing on collecting and painting my Horus Heresy collection for the next 5 years and will switch over the The Old World (GW's revamp of WFB) when that starts to get supported around that time. They say 3 years at earliest, but I'll wait until 2025 to consider getting in.
Next weekend, I hope to finish a squad of 5 Palatine blades with swords. I regret not doing better on the sword in this model with the lighting of the power field. I'll try to patch this mistake and not repeat it with the other 4 in the squad.
The following weekend, I hope to complete a further 5 with swords. One of the models will represent Ravasch Cario. After that, I'll paint 5 mk3 Iron Hands. All will have the same Istvaan V themed base as above. The weekend after that, another 5 Mk3 Iron hands. That's the next month of painting for me. I'll reassess in my following post.
I'm listening to the HH novel Fulgrim at the moment and I hope that the dynamic between the two legions will continue to draw interest from the audiobook onto the workshop table.
